Heringtons announces extension of charity partnership with Care for the Carers

We are very pleased to announce that we are extending our charity partnership with Care for the Carers until March 2020.  Managing Partner Richard Fisher said “Extending our partnership with Care for the Carers gives us more opportunities to highlight the wonderful work the charity does for unpaid carers in all of our five branch towns and throughout East Sussex.  Since March this year we have been pleased to support and highlight the charity.  Colleagues have been actively fundraising by donating monies in lieu of birthday gifts/cards, getting together early in the morning for the Best British Breakfast event, a Battle Festival scarecrow naming competition, a bring your dog to work day and starting this week  “the Heringtons Great British Bake Off”.  To date almost £5,700 has been raised.  Colleagues have also been taking part in awareness sessions with more of these being arranged for the future.   We are also excited that our partnership coincides with the charity’s 30th anniversary in 2019.”

Addressing colleagues recently Jennifer Twist, CFTC Chief Executive Officer said “We are absolutely delighted that Heringtons have been able to extend the charity partnership with Care for the Carers for another year!   Your support is invaluable in enabling us to help carers – often during a hugely difficult time in their lives.  Your passion and energy in supporting the cause is wonderful, and has sent a powerful message of support and recognition to local people looking after a relative or friend.   Thank you!”

Heringtons sponsored reunion Keane concert!

Together with English Heritage we were proud to have been a sponsor of this very special one-off reunion of Keane as a fundraiser to support the work of Battle Festival of Arts and Music on Saturday 11 August at Battle Abbey.  This was the first time in five years that all four Keane band members had played together.  Tim Rice-Oxley has been a patron of the Festival since 2014.  He grew up in Battle and former Keane with friends, singer Tom Chaplin and drummer Richard Hughes, later joined by bassist Jesse Quin.
