• If you’re a single parent, struggling to bring up young children, you can get free legal advice to help you make a will, provided you appoint guardians to look after your offspring. It doesn’t matter that you don’t have a small fortune to give away.
• If you belong to a large family and get on better with some of your relatives than with others, you may want to make sure that however little you leave, it goes to the right people.
• If you own a large house, but don’t consider yourself rich because you haven’t got much in the way of savings, you could still find that the value of your house pushes your estate into the world of Inheritance Tax.
